I was surprised with a birthday dinner at The Griffin. It was our first time and let me say what a treat it was My lamb chop dinner with a ceaser salad was absolutely devine. My boyfriend chose the crab cake entree which was just as savory. The sides were very tasty too and generous portions. The salad, asparagus, sauteed mushrooms and onions were enough for us to share. They presented me with Creme Brulee for dessert and because they weren't satisfied with the presentation they threw in a fun banana and ice cream one too. The cocktails were top notch and colossal in size . The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The quality of everything and autosphere is just what our little town was missing. I highly recommend The Griffin for your next date night. The juice was worth the squeeze

We had a lovely night in Fair Haven at The Griffin. Such a beautiful spot on the water to enjoy drinks & dinner. We went with friends & we ordered cocktails made to perfection. My husband had an Old Fashioned & I tried a Griffin Cosmo *HIGHLY recommend (it is a triple berry flavor). My husband had the New York Strip & Garlic Mashed Potato (a salad was served with each entree along with an addictive herb encrusted bread for the table) I had the Pecan encrusted Chicken with a berry sauce. I was shocked at the portion size of 2 huge chicken breasts; no complaints as it was just as yummy the next day. Our service was fantastic. The restaurant is not huge & the decor fits it very well. We took our left-over bags to the polished bar after dinner for one more drink & everyone that was there with us seemed to be enjoying it as much as we did. Treat yourself to a nice meal & spectacular view.

Had a great experience here for my birthday dinner! The drinks and apps were delicious (the group favorite was the calamari). I had the filet and lobster for dinner and it was worth every penny - my filet was cooked perfectly, and the lobster was the real star of the show. So good! Service and views were also A+. Definitely a great option for a special occasion or date night.

Stopped in randomly on a long road trip before I got stuck in endless corn fields, and so glad I did. Legitimately the best pork chop I’ve ever had in my life. The view is also amazing. A true hidden gem.

We waited for things to calm down from the soft opening to visit this brand new experience for Lake St. Clair. We enjoyed two meals here in the last week! Both times the food and service was outstanding & very attentive. The large windows offer every table having a great view of the water. Will be nice to sit outside for the sunsets once summer comes & the outdoor patio is furnished. The meats are amazing - the first visit our group enjoyed the Ribeye, Pork Chop, & Veal Chops. Visit #2 we ordered the Salmon, & Scallops. We also had shrimp cocktail - crunchy & fresh taste, along with the Calamari... and splurged one night with Bananas Foster, the dessert special. A good size salad comes with the meal, and you may have a slice or two of a nice crusty bread if you wish. All the meats were perfect temperature ordered, seasoned just right, and were very tender. Both the salmon & scallops we ordered on our 2nd visit were very filling and would order again. Looking forward to trying their crabcake & pecan chicken next visit!

Our second time dining at The Griffen. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Beautiful views and a nice menu. Our first experience we tried lamb chops and the Veal chops. Both fantastic. Our second visit we ordered a salmon Caesar, crab cake entree and the Ahi Tuna appetizer. All delicious!

Tonight we decided to try this place. Nestled along the shore of Lake St. Clair it offers a great view of the lake. It looked like there may be some dockage on the side with the boat launch. As far as the food goes, the prices are lake front prices which was no suprise. The presentation of the food did not illicit confidence in the venue. And then we tasted our food. Everything was seasoned and cooked absolutely perfect. We had the tenderloin with asparagus and the Griffin potatoes. To date, this was the best food we have had on Lake St. Clair and is on par with other fine dining experiences in regards to taste and quality. I was taken aback a little by the small portion of bread, but the waiter happily kept us stocked with fresh bread. All in all I will eat here again and take others so that they can enjoy the Griffin as well.

I was so excited to revisit The Griffin since we had not been there since their soft opening. This past Sunday, we joined friends that had not dined at The Griffin yet. When we arrived, the ambiance, the water view and the friendly faces welcomed us. We started with a Griffin Cosmo that was so delicious we wanted a pitcher of them. If you like Cosmos, do NOT pass up the opportunity to have Tommy make you one of these! My husband had the Mushroom Bisque soup and said he would definitely be ordering it again. For dinner, he chose Pecan Chicken with the Berry Glaze and Fingerling Potatoes and I had a Wedge Salad and the Ahi Tuna appetizer. I did not get pictures of all our food or those delicious drinks because we dove right in before I thought about it. The Chicken was cooked to perfection, juicy on the inside and golden pecan crust on the outside. The berry glaze was the perfect complement and because the servings were so generous, when we asked for take out containers to take half of our food home, we asked for extra berry sauce. My Ahi Tuna was brought out lightly seared and rare inside, just the way I like and, the Wedge salad was so fresh and tasty. It was all beautifully plated and served to us by our amazing waitress Wendy. Wendy was a fantastic addition to our experience at The Griffin. She was excited about the restaurant, made knowledgeable recommendations on food and drinks and was present and attentive throughout our dining experience. We have to travel about 45 minutes from home to get here but, I can’t wait to visit again!
